Tradearabia: Dubai group to unveil new collection at Index
A leading interior design exhibition in the Middle East, ‘Index 2010′ will run from November 8 to 11 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Casa Shamuzzi, the work of renowned Italian designer Roberto Serio, brings a new range of distinctive home furniture to the Middle East, where parent company Stars Dome has been based since 2004. The Stars Dome Group has divisions in real estate, interior design and hospitality.
Sofia Zigangirova, CEO of Stars Dome, said: “Casa Shamuzzi is a natural progression for our company, and we are proud to call Dubai its home. The Mena region is a huge market for home interiors, and we plan to expand our business through a network of agents in the Middle East, Russia, Kazakhstan and beyond as our brand takes hold.’
‘In addition to the residential market, there is significant potential in the hospitality industry: we are setting our sites on providing interior furnishings for hotels and serviced apartments across the region,’ remarked Sofia, who was born in St Petersburg, Russia.
After studying in Kazakhstan and the United States, Sofia moved to Dubai in 2004 to set up the Stars Dome with the aim of setting a new benchmark in excellence, innovation and creative flare in the luxury property market, through its real estate and interior design businesses. She is currently studying for a PhD in Human Resources.
“Our furniture, the product of a passion for fashion, is deliberately and daringly different. While our Noir, Perlage and Gold collections each have their own unique identity, they all carry the Casa Shamuzzi hallmark of Italian-inspired, Dubai-born quality design and finish, with eco-friendly touches such eco leather on many items,” she added.
The new collection, described by the firm as ‘attainable luxury’ comes in three distinct ranges: Noir, Perlage and Gold, with items available in a number of sizes to suit large and small homes.
‘I was drawn to Casa Shamuzzi because of its passionate yet down to earth approach to elegance, opulence and glamour. This collection adds a new dimension to the interior look and feel of any home, be it a palatial villa or a studio apartment.’
‘It’s an exciting brand with an exciting future, and I am delighted to be a part of it,’ said designer Roberto Serio.
